Transaction (BTC Withdrawal) Unconfirmed for 4 Days

Good evening,

I have a BTC withdrawal that is still unconfirmed now for over 4 days. It is stuck in the queue on mempool.space as it appears the fee the F(X)Wallet provided at the time of withdrawal was far too low and thus no miners would confirm the transaction due to the insufficient fee at the time of withdrawal. There is an option on mempool.space, where my transaction is “stuck” and waiting for confirmation, called an accelerator; but I don’t know how legit these are as I have never had this happen to me in 8 years of transacting in crypto. Additionally, the accelerator fee is ~$30USD which is quite high.

I am curious if anyone in here (Devs) has any knowledge if there is a way to perform a CPFP (Child Pays for Parent) update to the transaction through the F(X)Wallet which will allow me to increase the low fee the F(X)Wallet set and “unstick” my transaction allowing it to be confirmed on the blockchain finally? The other option would be RBF (Replace By Fee). These are the only 2 options I have figured out to allow me to retrieve the transaction from the mempool which has been awaiting confirmation due to low fees for over 4 days. From what I understand both the CPFP and RBF need to be done from the original location of the crypto transaction which is my F(X)Wallet.

I have not been able to find such functionality on the F(X)Wallet so I am hoping one of the Devs here can help me in finding a solution to this problem. It is very important for me to have the $1,000 “unstuck” as soon as possible. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the response. Do you have a support contact for the f(x)wallet that I can reach out to?

Also do you have a suggestion for a “trusted accelerator”? I’ve no idea how to confirm if one is truly legitimate or not.

Use the official website at https://support.functionx.io/

That was performed 6 days ago. Still no response. I also have another inquiry from 3 years ago that was never addressed so the official site seems to provide no direct support when queried.

I feel my question is pretty simple and a yes the wallet has that functionality or no it doesn’t and there is no plan to add that functionality (as I have outlined above) would suffice. I am quite disappointed in the support I have received to date from Pundi / FX (been an investor since ICO so this could certainly be improved). There must be one dev that has an answer to my question regarding the F(X)Wallet so in the meantime I suppose I will continue to wait indefinitely.

@lancelai is there anyone available to answer this Person inquiring, Please advise how someone gets the attention of Developers or team member on these issues. when a response is required. @Lags it’s always best when you want a response to tag project staff to begin with so everyone knows they have been alerted of the issue. not saying they shouldn’t be paying attention otherwise; it’s just logical in order to get faster attention. cheers

Could u provide some screenshot and transaction hash?

Good morning, the transaction is now complete, thank goodness. It took 11 days.

However, I would still like an answer on the CPFP or RBF functionality of the F(X)Wallet in case I run into similar issues in the future as I still have quite a bit of crypto in my F(X)Wallet. Can any devs such as @lancelai confirm what recourse, if any, exists for users of the F(X)Wallet that have transactions trapped in a mempool because of a low fee paid from the F(X)Wallet (ie CPFP or RBF)?

The issue I encountered was that my transaction was stuck in the queue on mempool.space as it appears the fee the F(X)Wallet provided at the time of withdrawal was far too low and thus no miners would confirm the transaction due to the insufficient fee at the time of withdrawal. There may be a bug with the wallet because I have looked a few times when attempting to transfer BTC. Normally, there is the transaction fee option of going with Slow (2sat/b), Normal (3sat/b) or Fast (4sat/b). However, I noticed, on occasion, that each of the options displayed the same 2sat/b. I have a feeling that is what happened when I sent my now stuck transaction. This maybe something for devs to look into.

Look forward to hearing back from you. Cheers

when you choose slow, that’s correct it’s then waiting for a node that’s prepared to do the TX at that low fee Meaning it’s a low priority TX, I suggest never using slow if you want it anytime soon, I personally always choose fast; if the fee looks high wait to see if a lower fee time comes about, you will always have issues doing transactions on slow low fee’s. that’s the normal nature of any blockchain TX’s

I mean this is obvious (chose fast) but doesn’t address any of my inquiries or concerns or my comment about the bug where it only gave me the option for 2sat/b (ie the F(X)Wallet, at times, offers Slow (2sat/b), Normal (2sat/b) or Fast (2sat/b)). So, although it provides 3 options for slow, normal and fast they all have the same slow 2sat/b. I have come across this a few times. Then the next time I go back in it’s back to the 2sat/b, 3sat/b and 4sat/b option. So when i had this stuck transaction my guess is I chose the option of fast, as I always do, but because they all showed 2sat/b (and I likely didn’t notice) I ended up paying the price of waiting over 11 days for confirmation. That is what I was referring to above when i stated there may be a bug with the wallet.

I am also still curious to hear if there is functionality for CPFP or RBF for the F(X)Wallet and, if not, if there is a plan for this in the future. That is important for me to understand for future transactions so I can decide if this is the right wallet for me. All the best.
