Looking for Guidance on Using StarScan to Optimise My Workflow

Hello Everyone :hugs:,

I am really delighted with StarScan’s capabilities as I have only recently begun using it for my astronomy imaging and data processing. I’m still learning how to streamline my workflow to get the most out this potent tool, though, as a novice. I’m asking for advice and best practices from this informed community.

Here are some particular places where I could benefit from guidance:

Data Preprocessing: How should raw astronomical photos be prepared in StarScan? Before proceeding with more complex processing, I want to be sure that I am accurately aligning and calibrating my data because I often work with FITS files.

Image Calibration: I have been aware of several methods, including bias correction, flat field correction resulting and dark frame removal. Is it possible for someone to offer a comprehensive breakdown or a methodical tutorial on how to carry out these assessments in StarScan?

Advanced Processing Techniques: What are some suggested methods for improving the quality of my photographs once the initial calibrating is finished? Learning about colour balancing, contrast enhancement, and noise reduction in particular interests me.

Scripting and automation: I saw that StarScan has scripting and automation capabilities. How can I use these capabilities to make my workflow more efficient? Would you suggest any pre-written script or template for typical tasks?

Finally, are there any lesser-known StarScan features or recommendations that you think are very helpful? I would be grateful for any tips on making the most of the software.

I’m excited to use StarScan to sharpen my astronomy imaging uipath skills and gain knowledge from this community. Thank you  in advance.

Hey bud, I think you might possibly be on the wrong forum as this is a blockchain forum for PundiX / Function X / Purse / MarginX.

The starscan.io website is our blockchain explorer website.

I was actually wondering how this nice project could relate to FunctionX (even extrapolating a lot, this is wayyyyy far).

Regards,
